The deep purple robe of the wine and heady aromas of cassis, blackberry, red plum and cinnamon hint at a wine with power, but this is deft and graceful. Black fruit, beetroot, tomato lead and earthy elements on the palate. This is wonderful example of Provençal balance with apparent but silky tannins. Serve at cellar temperature with a lamb stew, tapenade on toast or roasted vegetables.
