Salcheto Rosso di Montepulciano 2021

Aromas of red raspberry, currant and violets with a hint of signature savoury Sangiovese element. The palate is plush, medium-bodied and fruit forward. Although the balance is achieved more through acidity than tannins, there is a supple tannic grip. The red flavours and savoury notes come through on the mid-weight palate, with some blueberry and tobacco leaf. The finish is surprisingly long. A wonderful quaffer, pairing nicely with roast vegetables, picnic ham or enjoyed on its own.
