Sourced from the small, agrarian Dry Creek Valley, a region prized for its rich and sophisticated Sauvignon Blanc made by boutique, premium wineries like Mauritson.
White flowers, apricot, lemon and petrichor on the nose, this is less vegetal than most Sauv Blancs. On the palate, the typical fresh acidity is present, but there is richness and texture, from partial oak aging, as well. Lemon-lime, pink grapefruit, passion fruit and saline minerality flavours lead to a pleasingly long finish.

The region’s oldest and most highly-regarded winery, Mauritson Wines is now under the stewardship of 5th generation winemaker, Clay Mauriston, a former star linebacker at the University of Oregon.
Feravino Miraz Frankovka

Known elsewhere in Europe as Blaufränkisch, Frankovka ripens late on the vine and typically makes mid-weight wines with a rich, spicy character. With some bottle age, as is the case here, the grape gains impressive complexity and a supple, velvety mouth-feel.

Croatia’s best-known white grape, Graševina is capable of making wines in a variety of styles – from mid-weight, crisp and citrus-inflected bottles, to textured, weighty wines with exotic aromas and flavours. Feravino’s Miraz falls firmly, and deliciously, in the latter category.
