An autochthonous grape of the region, Xarel-lo Vermell has a thick, pinkish skin. This is similar to Xarel-lo in that it is brilliantly expressive on the nose, with wonderful aromatics, but it retains a much higher level of acidity. There are flavours of sour cherry, raspberry and quince, with hints of flint.
