We are excited to announce our partnership with the Vendange Institute and the Wine & Spirits Education Trust Programme!
For those of you who don’t know, the Vendange Institute was the first program provider in Ottawa to run programs certified by WSET.
The varying levels of programs meet the needs of those who are new to wine and range up to wine enthusiasts, industry professionals and sommelier’s.
At Buyers+Cellars one of our leading goals is to bring more wine education to the Ottawa market, making an inviting space to help individuals feel comfortable and excited to learn about the world of wine.
We encourage you to dive in deeper and to expand your knowledge of wine through both our individual classes and those we have partnered with the Vendange Institute for.

WSET
Wine & Spirit Education Trust
WSET Level 2
Classes start on October 17th (no class on Halloween), with it finishing on Dec 19th. Classes will be taught by Rob Nellis on Monday evenings starting at 6pm.

Cost of the class is $1300 and it includes;
- Study Pack (Textbook and Workbook)
- Exam and certification
- 8 structured, 3 hour classes
- A welcome wine, cheese and charcuterie upon arrival
- 6-8 new and interesting wines each week
- “First in line” access to tastings and events at TTR
WSET Level 3
Classes start October 25th, finishing on January 17th. Classes taught by Matt Webb, on Tuesday evenings starting at 6pm.

Cost of the class is $1950.00, includes:
- Study Pack (Textbook and Workbook)
- Exam and certification (Tasting portion, along with written exam)
- 11 structured, 3 hour classes
- In-depth tastings each week
- “First in line” access to tastings and events at TTR
